Timothy Ma


Timothy Ma joined the BLAM lab in July 2019 as a research assistant. He graduated from the University of Washington with a B.S. in Neuroscience and in Applied and Computational Math Sciences.

As an undergraduate, Timoth​y worked with Wyeth Bair on optimizing stimulus presentation online for single cell recordings in primate V4. He also worked with Farrel Robinson for a short time on cerebellar control of saccades.

Timothy is currently working on an assessment of hand dexterity in chronic stroke patients, with hopes of developing personalized recovery methods. He is planning to pursue graduate studies in neuroscience, particularly computational modelling of sensorimotor systems.
